Pistol I - Competition Fundamentals

Part 1 - Accuracy

This course will focus on building your accuracy in competition shooting settings. You will learn to use the fundamentals of shooting in a competition setting, shoot accurately with your strong hand only, and rapidly resolve malfunctions to get another round back on target in a match stage.
Required Equipment:
Safety glasses
Hearing protection
Pistol in operating condition
4 magazines
Suitable IDPA or IPSC belt mounted holster for pistol (Holster compliance at discretion of instructor, must be acceptable for safe action shooting)
Sturdy belt
Magazine pouches
200 rounds of ammunition
Food and hydration for the day
Appropriate clothing for the weather as this course will be going rain or shine. No open toe footwear or low-cut shirts permitted.

Part 2 - Speed

This course addresses speed and time constraints in competitive shooting. You will work on rapid target engagements, quick magazine changes, and reducing split times in this course.

This course is focused on improving your movement performance in action shooting. You will train to efficiently to draw and manipulate a pistol while moving, shoot from different positions while on the move in different directions, and transition between different shooting positions.

Introduction to ISSF Olympic-Style Pistol Shooting

This course is focused on improving your movement performance in action shooting. You will train to efficiently to draw and manipulate a pistol while moving, shoot from different positions while on the move in different directions, and transition between different shooting positions.

Pistol II - Training & Development

Part 1 - Familiarity

For those who want to become familiar with shooting a pistol. You will leave this course able to competently handle a pistol, safely resolve malfunctions, and consistently hit a target with individual shots.

3-4 magazines
200 rounds of ammunition

Part 2 - Proficiency

For the pistol shooters who want to improve their target shooting skills and gain complete confidence with a pistol. You will be equipped to attain tighter groups over long strings of fire, and hit targets with accuracy at distances up to 25m.
